Type 2 battle walkers are considerably heavier than the Type 1, and are employed when only a sledgehammer will suffice. Trading mobility for devastating firepower, the mere sight of a squadron of these imposing juggernauts is often enough to send the enemy running for cover.
The Odin Class is the most common Type-2 variant encountered by UCM forces. It mounts a pair of RX-1 railguns, making it lethal against all hardened targets. Its superior armour makes it a deadly adversary in protracted firefights. The Zeus Class is optimised for the command role with a communications array and the experimental 'Aegis' energy shield, which - when coupled with the Type-2's heavy armour - this gives the commander excellent protection when leading from the front.
